Sports betting books

Sports’ betting is a very broad area and many books have been written on how to maximize winnings from sports betting. Some books are general and intended for beginners to obtain some basic knowledge on the matter, while others are very specific and often cover only one sport.

The area to cover in case of betting on sports is much broader then learning the ins and outs on one particular casino game, it takes more work but the results are well worth the effort. Going into sports betting uninformed is a sure way to lose on most of the wagers placed. Knowledge is power, and understanding the game leads to control. This holds true in sports betting also.

Unlike casino games there are no specific rule books on sports betting as the rules can vary per sport, or type of sport. Therefore there are many rule books covering many types of sports games and types of sports bets. Beginners should first choose the sport they want to bet on and then proceed in obtaining a rule book for that specific type of sports betting. Books on the subject can be obtained as both hardcopies and eBooks and there are free ones available, but also a lot that you need to pay for.

The same as for the beginners’ guides holds true for so called strategy books. They also can vary per sports type, betting type or game. Therefore, only after choosing the sport and reading up on the rules, a strategy guide should be selected geared toward that particular sport or betting type.

The one thing that is the same as with casino strategy guides is that there are gems and scams out there, so just like with all other strategy guides that are available, it pays to check on the source and on the author of the guide, in order not to get scammed and actually diminish your chances on winning in the process.

Unlike with most casino games, strategies on sports betting often work, if the method is carefully selected ensuring it is not well known so the method won’t be flooded with lots of people using them. Therefore reading up on the available strategies is highly recommended before engaging in placing a wager on any sport.

Recommended books on the subject by reputable authors are books from: King Yao, Michael Konik, and David Paul Greene. These are authors of genuine strategy books, which will not steer you in the wrong direction.
